Investigation study of electrical discharge machining parameters on material removal rate for AISI M2 material

EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) is a common non-traditional machining technique for manufacture geometry parts made of intricate or extremely rigid metals that are challenging to using conventional manufacturing techniques. Electrical discharge by utilizing electrical erosion, classify the meaning material removal (MR). This paper's main objective discuss ideal parameters in order use high-speed steel as workpiece AISI M2 and with brass & copper electrodes. Pulse on-time (100, 150, 200 µs), Current (10, 24 42 A) off-time (4, 12 25 µs) input effect on rate (MRR) used experimental work. The present study's findings shown highest MRR electrodes pulse µs, µs current A, at (0.31284 g/min 0.18769) respectively, lowest average value removed was when evaluating 10 Ton 100 Toff 4 (0.05451g/min 0.01898 g/min) respectively.
